Early on, Scott Herckis embarked on his business career when he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting at the University of Texas, but he soon followed that up by getting his CPA when he worked with the Audit and Assurance Department at Arthur Andersen for five years. At Andersen, Scott working with many large corporate clients such as Cadbury Schweppes and Sheraton Hotels. Following Arthur Andersen, he continued to increase his profile in the accounting and finance as he worked with companies in the fashion and apparel industry, first as a controller, then as a Vice President of Finance, and finally as a Chief Financial Officer.
Back in 2009, Scott Herckis founded SJH Financial based on a concept he holds very close. He strongly feels that financial advice is all but pointless of the receiver of that advice doesn’t understand the advice and how it works for them or they don’t know exactly how to use it. That is precisely why SJH and Scott Herckis himself sprinkles some general business wisdom into their financial expertise. The professionals at SJH Financial don’t just advise clients on how to make more money and what to do with it, they explain why they do what they do and what it means for their overall strategy.
Scott Herckis also helps his clients find the financing they need to start a business or to keep it going. The search for outside financing can be very intimidating and Scott understands this. He has a passion for helping small business owners make the types of financial decisions that benefit them most. One thing that makes Scott Herckis and SJH Financial better than other financial counseling firms comes with their ability to communicate everything to clients in a way that makes sense to them.
